Critical remedial works for a private client in London
Klimatec replaced two splits as part of critical remedial works following a recent survey visit of the basement rectifier room. Reports of multiple issues with the systems from a prior botched install.
Klimatec quoted to attend site and move two 14kw floorstanding mounted Daikin split systems, recover refrigerant charge and decommission existing split units.
Pipework was supported at intervals no greater than 1.5m and supported with class O armaflex insulation ½” walls. The team carried out pressure testing overnight to pipework to manufacturer’s recommended standards.
They also removed any moisture/non-condensables from the work area, added virgin refrigerant that suited the new pipe run and opened condenser valves.
Reinstated power and commission both systems, log operation for record. Klimatec removed all waste from site, recorded to F-Gas log to add new refrigerant charges.
Remedial works required
Old units decommissioned and stripped
Daikin chillers installed
Installed condenders to existing containments
Genie lifts used to raise units into position
Project cost approx. £13,000
Other aspects of this particular job included power isolation, dismantling old systems, associated pipework and cabling and installing brand new Daikin FVA140A 14kw floor standing units within the client’s rectifier room.
Klimatec also installed condensers (Daikin RZASG140MV1) on existing containment within the loading bay using a genie lift to raise into position. New pipework was installed to connect internal and external areas and all connections were brazed, with the final unit connection mechanically flared.
