Installed three 14kw split A/C systems for a private client in London

Following a site survey where the engineer deemed there to be insufficient cooling, Klimatec was drafted in to install three splits A/C systems to improve airflow and provide cooling to critical equipment.

Klimatec was asked to attend site and install three 14kw split A/C systems for a private client in London.

All pipework was insulated class O insulation ½” wall and supported at intervals no greater than 1.5m. Pipework connections throughout the run were brazed, with final connections onto all units being mechanically flared. Pipework was pressure tested to the manufacturer’s specification. VAC systems removed any moisture from the work area.

Trim charge with virgin R32 to suit pipe run lengths, opened valves and released pre-charged refrigerant into pipework. Installed interconnecting power and comms cabling between indoor and outdoor units, ensuring cable connections were secure.

Installed condensate tank pumps with braided hose to external building. Installed wall mounted controllers local to all units and KRP cards in readiness for BMS connections.

  • Insufficient cooling for single room on site

  • Installed three split A/C systems

  • Installed new pipework

  • Brazing and hot works necessary

  • Project cost approx. £31,000

The team installed condensers (Daikin RZASG140MV1) on the lower roof which were mounted on anti-vibration feet. They also installed two floor-standing and one under-ceiling unit (Daikin FVA140B/FHA140B) in an agreed location within the room.

Installed new pipework and cables between indoor and outdoor units, using closest riser possible, brazed connections throughout and mechanical flare at units.
