Klimatec was asked to visit a site in east London to survey a private premises which had no heating or cooling.

The previous contractor installed a Losnay unit which only provided fresh air and extract. The client wanted Klimatec to provide a solution for installing heating and cooling whilst retaining the previous unit. The work was carried out throughout the client’s refurbishment and included two 3.5kw wall mounted split systems placed at each side of a CCTV room. The condenser was installed on the external wall of the main premises, at ground level.

Due to the close proximity of a public right of way, it was decided the condenser was to be stacked on a frame and secured inside a cage for safety and to prevent tampering.

Klimatec’s engineers attended site out of hours to carry out noisy works, including core drilling and installation of the power supplies. Pipework, cabling, condensate and commissioning was carried out in normal working hours.
