Klimatec continues to put employee’s mental health in the workplace first
Last year the company announced several initiatives designed to support the mental health & wellbeing of all staff, now, it’s ramping up that support even further.
Following the appointment of four voluntary in-house Mental Health Representatives in November 2021, the subsequent training of those individuals and several coffee mornings for staff to attend, Klimatec is now bolstering its support offer for all employees at the company.
Management are looking at introducing a new virtual mental health & wellbeing session for the entire company in February. The workshop will be split across the day, with multiple sessions at different times throughout to suit all working patterns. Following on from this there will also be future focus groups, with more details to follow at a later date.
Secondly, each of our four Mental Health Representatives will take it in turns to host a weekly “mental health surgery”, which starts from the 9th February. Each session will last two hours, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and employees who wish to make contact can do so via phone, text, email or over Microsoft Teams. The representatives will still be available at any time to chat, but these dedicated sessions have been arranged to make it even more convenient for the employee looking to offload or discuss a private matter.
Further dates will be added on rotation at the bottom of the Toolbox Talk newsletter which is issued to all staff every Monday morning at 8am.
Finally, Operations Director Ben facilitated several coffee mornings towards the end of 2021, and this year they are returning, with dates to be announced for March and April. These were popular with staff, with Ben travelling the north and south divide to ensure all employees had a chance to pop in for an informal beverage and a chat.
