Klimatec installing 16 condensers onto roof

Klimatec currently installing 16 condensers for an ongoing CRAC unit for a private client in Slough, United Kingdom.

On the morning of Saturday 11th February 2023 the majority of Klimatec’s install team attended to a site in Slough to complete the installation phase of 16 condensers for an ongoing CRAC unit project.

There are four power rooms on each side of the building and in each power room the team are installing two single-circuit 60kW Flaktwoods upflow units.

Klimatec subcontracted the all-important lift to Baldwins Crane Hire, a longstanding partner, who selected a 140 tonne self-erecting tower crane for the job. This was the largest crane that the site gates could accommodate, although a larger vehicle would have been preferable if it wasn’t for the onsite limitations.

Over the next few weeks Klimatec will start to move the indoor units into the power rooms for the install teams to complete the interconnecting services.

Klimatec managed to take a timelapse video showing eight condensers being lifted on to frames on the Southern side of the building.
